NOTE: Beginning 1/7/25, 33+ fires have affected the Los Angeles metropolitan and surrounding regions, destroying the communities of Pacific Palisades and Altadena.  Malibu, which had been hit hard just the month before, was hit again, leaving further devastation to an already severely affected community.  To name a few of the other Fires:  Hurst, Lidia, Kenneth, Sunset, Hollywood Hills, Hughes, Lilac, Sepulveda, Pala, & Fig. In some places, the wind reached up to 100mph. At least 27 people have perished, and 200,000 people were forced to evacuate. Over 12,401+ structures have been either damaged or destroyed. This is the second most destructive “firestorm” in California history.
